COSMIC Countdown

Written on 26 Aug 2015 in Blog

Our COSMIC challenge has been running throughout the summer but there is only a week left before the competition closes.

We have teamed up with businesses in Cambridge to create the City’s own interactive solar system map, across which the Challenge takes place, with each business representing a different planet. The map aims to illustrate the size and scale of the cosmos, with the Cambridge Science Centre representing the Sun.

Businesses which form the solar system include the ADC Theatre, Cafe on the Round, Providence, Townsends Light Blue Cycle, Heffers, Tindalls, Let's Go Cambridge, When I was a Kid, Bellina's, The Urban Shed, Jacks on Trinity and Bridges.

If you and your family are budding astronomers then get down to the centre or any participating business, pick up the question sheet and take part in our Cosmic Challenge. All correct answer sheets will be entered into a fantastic prize draw where there are three telescopes worth £50 each up for grabs. To find out more information on the Challenge click here.
