Join in the fun in Barclays Bank, 39 High Street, Haverhill, Suffolk, CB9 8AE. During the Town Centre Takeover, our team of science communicators will help you interactive with our range of unique exhibits.
Come along and play with vertical wind tunnel and create fabulous spinners and, then test it out in the wind tunnel to see if it can fly. Discover what shapes are the most aerodynamic.
Experiment with ourspecial infrared video camera with filters added and removed to show the world in the near-infra-red range of the colour spectrum.
It reveals banknote security ink, remote control signals, surprising reflection behaviour of different clothes dyes, and why compact fluorescent lightbulbs are more efficient than incandescents. Explore what looks different, you might be surprised.
Also, take part in the At Home Challenge and open up a world of science in your own home! The Challenge will run for a month from Saturday 24th October until Saturday 21st November.
We are asking everyone who attends to showcase their weird and wonderful science creations and post photos and videos on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/cambridgesciencecentre or Twitter www.twitter.com/camsciencecntr. Use #athomescience to enter our competition to win amazing
