I have a strong belief in positive social change, sparked whilst volunteering overseas. After completing my Genetics BSc at Cardiff University I worked in healthcare and customer service, alongside continuing to volunteer, this time with disadvantaged children and young people. Most recently I have been fundraising for a national medical research charity, working with philanthropists towards their goals of driving change and supporting progress.
I am very excited to be with Cambridge Science Centre at a time when we are poised to increase our reach, so that we can give positive benefits to children from wider backgrounds and areas. I like to think we can create a little wonder for every child who we see, whether they come to see us at the centre, or our travelling science and discovery centre visits their school or community. Our values are to be a fun, electric and exciting place to be - after all, as Alice said when she was in Wonderland,
“You’re mad, bonkers, completely off your head. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”
