I luckily grew up in a very sciency household and was allowed to ‘help’ in my parent’s labs as a child. This really kickstarted my interest in science, so I knew I wanted to be involved from a young age.
I studied Psychology/Neuroscience at UCL, and quickly discovered how little many people know about these subjects. Once I had started explaining the science to them, I found I really enjoyed it and decided to switch to science communication. I love the moment when you change someone’s view on a scientific subject, especially when they then pass on the understanding to someone else.
I’m so excited for the Science Centre opening, as I think it will really change how the public view science. I’m most looking forward to capturing the imagination of young children, and hope that we can inspire them to become the next generation of scientists.
