It was during my masters in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology, that I discovered a gap between scientific research and the public, and I wanted people outside of the academic community to know about the science going on in the world and my own research. After all, science is all around us and is helping to discover and solve some of the greatest problems in this world (and universe!).
I began doing various things within science communication alongside my masters, and the best part was seeing others getting excited about science, realising they understand it, and that it isn’t scary!
Now working as I Science Communicator I love being there as people of all ages explore science and discover new and exciting things, and I am delighted to be apart of such a dedicated and innovative Science Centre.
