Growing up in Cambridge it’s hard not to be inspired by some of the incredible Science that happens here. I trained as a Pharmacist (MPharm) at the University of East Anglia undertaking a master’s project looking at Atomic Force Microscopy with anti-cancer DNA intercalators, before working at GSK as a formulation scientist in early stage development. At GSK I became a STEM ambassador volunteering for them as a judge for the Big Bang Eastern team, as well as blogging for The Pharmaceutical Journal. As a regular attender of the Cambridge Science Festival and avid reader of various Scientific magazines and journals I’ve always enjoyed hearing about the explorations at the forefront of Scientific research. Ultimately intrigued and amazed by the new developments that will impact and shape the technology and fields surrounding our lives.
